It gives me great pleasure to present to you the launch of SAMVAAD – SIAO Times, Sightsavers South India Area’s blog.
“Samvaad”. It’s rightly the first step of a long journey on which this blog has embarked.
This blog comes to you with the aim to bring all the partners and friends of SIAO closer and to provide a medium for information exchange. The name Samvaad, which literally means “Constructive and Synergistic Dialogue”, was unanimously chosen by the blog team as the same was our driving force while planning and structuring the blog.
Through Samvaad you will get to know better about SIAO’s events, current affairs, who’s who, glimpse behind the desk, photographs and discussions. The blog aims to connect to each of you in providing useful, informal and interesting news bytes and by letting you know about SIA update across five states who walk the same path.
I express my gratitude towards my team for their support and encouragement in launching SAMVAAD – SIAO Times.My special thanks go to Shweta for her hard work in putting this dream in to the reality and Ketan for sharing his reflections on International Day for Disabled Person, which is apt for the launch of SAMVAAD.
The first step has been taken. Let us now make strides toward taking making this journey vibrant and dynamic through your contribution in ‘Samvaad’.
